Another Day Another Dollar
Wow. Life has been busy, with school and socializing I have been running around like crazy. We started class two weeks ago and have been kept busy with that. We're taking 4 classes: African Worldviews, Truth and Reconciliation Commission, Social Transformation and Reading Between the Margins. All of which are pretty mind blowing and helpful towards my Reconciliation major. Tuesdays we have off so that typically means BEACH DAY! I've been finding myself getting a little sidetracked with some of the South African boys. Not that I am complaining, they are all wonderful, but that is not what I came here for. However, we've made so many wonderful friends at Cornerstone and it makes me constantly fear the point when I will have to say goodbye to all of them. This weekend I am trying to orchestrate a road trip to a town called Hermanus. Its on the Garden Route and is supposed to be very beautiful. We found a house we can rent that over looks the ocean and a lagoon. Super pumped! Just the whole renting documents and money organizing is a bit tricky and I of all people am the one doing all that...We shall see I suppose. A week from Friday we are headed out to Johannesburg which I'm super excited about. It is known as the New York of South Africa so it will be very interesting to see that contrast. Like I said I am continuously getting challenged mentally but in a good way and all continuously reminded of how fortunate I am to be getting such an amazing experience such as this. Basically, if you ever get the chance, move to South Africa for awhile. It will rock your world!

Wine Country
This weekend we went to camp with the first years at Cornerstone. We attended a church camp out in Simonsburg outside of Stellenbosch out in wine country. It was a beautiful place. We met a bunch of the first years and made a lot of new friends which was wonderful. We also did chapel and a bunch of games. It was nice to get out of the city for a bit and gaze up at the beautiful stars. I did a lot of wondering around through the vineyards and the woods and it was so gorgeous! Mountains everywhere! I would love to go back and spend a day out there!
